Say hello to Summit for Windows 8.1 :)

Always create a system restore before attempting to modify your system with any themes or tool! I am not responsible for anything that happens to your computer! See FAQs if you're updating this theme from an older version.

Do not mirror, modify, or redistribute without my consent. Sharing is OK, but you must link directly back to this page.

Dark variation here: Valley

Q: What is summit?
A: Summit is an OS X Yosemite inspired theme for Windows 8.1

Q: How can I download this?
A: Press the download button on the right side of the page

Q: How can I install this theme?
A: Take the content of the zip folder you downloaded and place it in C:\Windows\Resources\Themes. Make sure you patch your computer using UXThemePatcher or UXStyle.

Q: How do I update the theme?
A: First, make a restore point to make sure you can always go back if anything goes wrong. Afterwards, change your theme to another theme such as the default aero theme. Log off and on, then insert the new theme files in the appropriate location (see above). Apply the theme and you're good to go!

Q: This doesn't look exactly like OS X Yosemite!
A: This is my take on Apple's flat style, so does not necessarily match OS X Yosemite 100%

Q: Help! The theme isn't applying and I am getting a grey basic theme!
A: Make sure to patch/override your uxtheme.dll file using UXStyle or UXtheme Ultra patcher.

Q: Will there be a windows 7 version?
A: Possibly, but I currently don't have Windows 7. Please do not ask as I already addressed this.

Q: Will there be an Aero version?
A: I'm not sure as the creator of Aero8 is not the nicest guy in the world.

Q: May I use this theme in my transformation/customization pack? May I make a mirror/redistribute it? Could I modify it for public use?
A: Absolutely no, unless you have permission from me.

Could be possible have a version with the taskbar style like the default one of Windows 8? I'd like to have just the windows changed and not the taskbar.

I really like this theme and your summit and valley themes.  I was wondering if you have any good links describing the tools and steps needed to build a custom theme.  I have a few ideas I would love to either turn into mockups or custom themes.  Any advice would be welcome.  I'm an accountant and don't have any experience with Adobe tools.
